It really is March already. Unbelievable. I am loving the warmer weather, and summer just around the corner, and with that comes Baby #2. Yes thats right we are expecting Baby McCarty in August and couldn't be more excited :) This week I am officially half way there at 20 Weeks and really starting to show it. Positive this is a huge reason why I've been so busy. From morning sickness and all day nausea, to placenta previa in the first trimester and light bed rest. Not to mention being a stay-at-home momma to Lil Peanut my days have been busy. Just one day at a time is how were handling the crazy busy life of getting ready for another Lil Peanut.

Our fun weekend
Hello everyone it's been awhile since I've posted anything, Lil Peanut and I have been adjusting to my new work schedule which changes the daily routine for both of us! Lil Peanut has been busy trying to walk on his own. Right now he is a pro furniture surfer :) This last Saturday we went shopping with Auntie Amy, it was such nice weather to be out on the street mall and enjoying the buzzing atmoshpere. Here are a few pictures of the weekend!

Things to love as a Momma
Hello everyone! I hope the week is treating you right. This week has been a very fun and exciting week for Lil Peanut and I. He is really starting to take off with the furniture surfing, and since he is starting to walk more with less and less help I thought it was a perfect time for his first pair of Nike's :) So we went to the store and tried a bunch of fun shoes out, it took a little bit of time but we found the perfect set of tennies for him! I have also been working on getting him on a new earlier schedule for bedtime. My work schedule is changing next week and we both need to start going to bed much earlier! Peanut has been doing well with this, I found a very helpful article on one of my fav sites for momma's it is also a great magazine called Parenting. I highly suggest it. I also have to share a great idea called BoddlerBites. It's easy ideas for recipes and foods to feed your budding toddler. They are like little flash cards so it makes it very user friendly! I know for me it is sometimes hard to think of new and exciting food combos for Peanut to eat since he might not be able to have what I am having for dinner due to spices and such. Well enjoy the weekend to come I have to go check on sleeping Lil Peanut. Nighty Night ;)

Modern Era
I had to share this picture of Peanut. Our modern era of the Laptops. He was fascinated with it the other night!

Scrub-a-dub-dub Lil Peanut in the Tub
Lil Peanut in the bath tub. This is quickly becoming a very wet messy ritual with all the splashing that is going on. Target has some of the cutest bath time toys, and at very reasonable prices. Which makes it easy to love that store even more.
I do have to say it works like a charm when he needs to be tired out so he'll go to bed!
Enjoy the cute pictures ;)

Peanut in the Box
Last night I have to say I feel silly for spending money on a bunch of toys when I quickly found out that the simplest things entertain my lil peanut. I think the pictures say it all ;)
Papa is helping Peanut climb into the box...
And then he played hide-n-go-seek for awhile ;)

Peanut Mush
This was my Lil Peanut's new trick this morning...mushing food and discovering he can now spit it out. Not because he doesn't like bananas, but just because he can and it's funny lol. I couldn't help but laugh.
This last week has been a good week, I see so many little changes in Peanut. It warms my heart to see all the new things he is learning, and understanding! His first birthday party is coming up this weekend. It is going to be a great time. I will post pictures of everything so stay tuned!

Busy night for Peanut
I was able to work a different shift today so I got off work early and was able to spend a full night with Peanut. Boy did we have a busy night! We admired the new rug that Papa made for us, it's a very cute monkey that goes perfect with our jungle nursery. Thanks Papa!
He just kept going...
He made it!
As soon as peanut got to the top of the stairs he had to turn around,
and gave Momma a big "I did it" grin!
We ended the night with some great books, and a snacker bottle.
I can honestly say I cherish every lil moment with my peanut.

Changing made memorable
While I was changing Lil Peanut this morning I had an interesting realization... we spend a lot of time together on the changing table. It seems I am always changing a diaper, or clothing, and then we end up playing together in the closet mirror that is just next to the table. I feel in a way it is where a lot of bonding happens. I wonder if I'm not the only momma that thinks so? When I ponder all of our times at the changing table so many "firsts" happened in those times. For instance, it is where I got Peanut to laugh when I tickled him for the first time, it is where I taught him to find his toes and pull off his socks. It is also where I taught him push his arm through his shirt sleeves, and to find his tummy! On the changing table so many close memories exist, and I look forward to the daily moments. I wouldn't miss a diaper change in the world :)
