Catch up of busy January!

This first month of 2015 has flown by! I officially will be better at more blog posts more often because as of this last week I am officially a Stay-at-home Momma! I'm so excited for this new chapter in life. I have so many things planned for Lil Peanut and I to do, and can ultimately feel my creative juices flow again. I plan on learning how to sew, taking a pottery class with my dad, and expanding my photography business. Here are just a few pics catch up from this month so far!

Helping with our bathroom remodel.

Love a messy room...it's a happy well-played kid.

Wasn't so happy being a scuba diver at the Whale exhibit.

So tired he fell asleep while pouting on the stairs.

First pony ride! Dr. Pepper the pony was very nice.

Date night at Clay Walker.

Sacked out. He's good at this.

Goofing around in my new stunna shades.

Good ole superhero time.

New Family Tradition

This year we decided to start a new family tradition at Christmas time of going to the Denver Botanical Gardens Blossoms of Light show. They did an amazing job lighting up the gardens with every kind and color of twinkle lights you could imagine! It wasn't too long of a trail for the kids to loose interest so it really is a great holiday experience. If you Coloradoans haven't ever been I highly suggest going. Here are just a few pics of the evening.

Decorating the tree and other Xmas shenanigans

We had a great time decorating our Charlie Brown tree this year. We couldn't find a slim scrawny tree this year at the lots, so we bought a cheap Walmart tree and cut a bunch of branches out to make it our own. I think it turned out pretty great! We also were lucky to catch the Parade of Lights in downtown. Lil Peanut had a blast! We ended the last few holiday weeks with a visit with Santa. Check out how excited he is!

Pumpkin fun

We all had a great day at the pumpkin patch this past weekend. Some of the pumpkins were as big as Lil Peanut! He also held a deep and meaningful conversation with his new found buddy. Pictures speak for this ;)

New family tradition

This last Sunday we raced as a new family in the Denver Race for the Cure. It was Ryan's first time, but Lil Peanut had been going to the race since he was in my belly ;) We had fun making shirts for the race the night before. Here see some great pics from our day.

Fun day at Devil's Backbone

Yesterday I took Lil Peanut hiking. It was such a beautiful Colorado day it only seem logical to get out and about. We went to Devil's Backbone Park, which isn't to far of a drive for us. I have to say I was impressed with how well this open space was cared for. Kudos to living in Northern Colorado ;) Lil Peanut was so excited to be the "leader" and I was one very proud momma for how well he did! We ended our nice lil hike with a picnic in the shade and deer sightings. Here are a few pics of the fun day trip.
