Disney World: Part 1

I had some vacation time saved up at work and thought what better way to spend it than take Lil Peanut somewhere fun. So a co-worker suggested I look at Southwest.com for a vacation package. I bought a last minute deal for a very good price with everything included!

Fast forward...early one Saturday morning Lil Peanut and I were high in the sky headed to Florida. For the next three days we spent time at our beautiful hotel swimming and exploring Disney World . We spent most of our time in the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom theme parks. I must say it was a huge accomplishment taking a two year old as a single momma ;)

Lil Peanut loved seeing Mickey Mouse, but most of all Buzz Lightyear and Woody. I must say Disney still does not miss a beat! Lines were not long for rides, there was easy to use stroller parking, and the night time shows were awesome.

Our favorite park was by far Animal Kingdom. There were so many trails to walk and see all the different animals. Lil Peanut really enjoyed the safari ride and being able to go to the petting zoo. As a first timer to Animal Kingdom I must say I was in awe. We were lucky enough to go on Earth Day so they had extra fun activities.
Here are just a few pictures. I will post more in my next entry ;)

Eggs, a Bunny, & Lil Peanut

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Lil Peanut and I sure did ;) We were very busy dying eggs bright wonderful colors, going to church, and a nice walk. It was wonderful weather and we spent it with wonderful people.
Of course I had to post pictures...enjoy!

Egg Hunt

Lil Peanut's school is probably the best place I could of ever enrolled him in. The Goddard School in Longmont is an amazing school with great teachers and owners. Yesterday they had an egg hunt for all the lil ones. They decorated their Easter bags and set out on the playground to find those eggs! Lil Peanut did quite well and found about a half a bag full!

To top off the event Miss Mary dressed up as the Easter Bunny and every kiddo got to pick out a Easter basket to take home. Lil Peanut could not wait to get home to show his Papa his basket ;) That kind of stuff just warms your heart.

Snow day

This weekend it snowed pretty good all day Saturday so Lil Peanut bundled up and went out to play. We were having a bad case of cabin fever in the house all day. You gotta love kiddos...no matter how many times my kid eats snow he's still surprised its cold on his tongue!

Catch up

I love my iPhone but I do have to say I take so many pictures on it that sometimes I forget to go back and look through them. I decided to do that this morning and realized I never posted any of Lil Peanuts birthday pics from opening gifts at home, or his birthday cake! Shame on me haha. So here are the best ones from the night. Bless his lil heart, he was pretty tired from his birthday party I'm surprised he made it to the birthday cake festivities ;)

Opening all the great Thomas the Train stuff Mimi bought him.

One thankful routine

I do have to admit through out my single days of not being a momma I was quite busy with my social life and not so much a healthy active person.  Becoming a momma has inspired me to live my life better and to the fullest everyday. Although some days this is harder to accomplish than others for the most part it has been success ;) Now that the weather is getting warmer and it isn't dark at 5pm Lil Peanut and I are starting to enjoy our nightly walks again. We walk to the park or on special days to Starbucks with Papa. Even when it is a little chilly we just bundle up. In my prior days the chill would be excuse enough for me not to go outside. I have my lil man to thank for the motivation. I will admit some days as a single parent can be grueling and exhausting but I wouldn't change it for the world. It has made me a better person.  Some people have been critics and judgmental of my single parent status and to that all I have to say is this...
I thank The Lord each and everyday for the amazing blessing he has granted me which is my son. Lil Peanut has saved my life and challenges me to be the best I can be daily. For that I will forever be thankful :)

I guess in ending my thought of the day is...
I love my life and where it is at right now ;)
