This year we decided to start a new family tradition at Christmas time of going to the Denver Botanical Gardens Blossoms of Light show. They did an amazing job lighting up the gardens with every kind and color of twinkle lights you could imagine! It wasn't too long of a trail for the kids to loose interest so it really is a great holiday experience. If you Coloradoans haven't ever been I highly suggest going. Here are just a few pics of the evening.

Decorating the tree and other Xmas shenanigans
We had a great time decorating our Charlie Brown tree this year. We couldn't find a slim scrawny tree this year at the lots, so we bought a cheap Walmart tree and cut a bunch of branches out to make it our own. I think it turned out pretty great! We also were lucky to catch the Parade of Lights in downtown. Lil Peanut had a blast! We ended the last few holiday weeks with a visit with Santa. Check out how excited he is!

Pumpkin fun
We all had a great day at the pumpkin patch this past weekend. Some of the pumpkins were as big as Lil Peanut! He also held a deep and meaningful conversation with his new found buddy. Pictures speak for this ;)

Fun day at Devil's Backbone
Yesterday I took Lil Peanut hiking. It was such a beautiful Colorado day it only seem logical to get out and about. We went to Devil's Backbone Park, which isn't to far of a drive for us. I have to say I was impressed with how well this open space was cared for. Kudos to living in Northern Colorado ;) Lil Peanut was so excited to be the "leader" and I was one very proud momma for how well he did! We ended our nice lil hike with a picnic in the shade and deer sightings. Here are a few pics of the fun day trip.

Ok ok...
I have been horrible at posting on the blog this year! I can't believe three months just slipped away. Well there is a very good reason why and I can explain...
I got married. We are no longer a family of two, but three. Lil Peanut and I are very excited about the adventures that lie ahead.
Just to catch up the past few months I'll post some pictures of our recent adventures ;)
