Pinecone Turkeys

We had a fun lil project to add to our festive Thanksgiving table. Lil Peanut helped me make pinecone turkeys. We got all of our supplies at Hobby Lobby

Here's how we made them...

1. We traces Lil Peanuts hands on festive paper and then momma cut them out.
2. Shaped orange pipe cleaners into what looked like feet.
3. Got the glue gun ready (momma only) and glued a brown pompon on the pinecone for the head, wiggle eyes, a piece of red pipecleaner and yellow felt for the beak and giblet.
4. Then I took the cut out hands glued them to the pinecone as well as the feet.

I really love doing lil projects like this with Lil Peanut. It gives him a contribution to the overall family tradition and something to be proud he made!

Happy Monday everyone! Lil peanut and I had a very very busy thanksgiving and weekend to follow. We spent thanksgiving with wonderful family, and then went shopping with Mimi. Overall a much needed weekend with family time. Hope everyone had a great turkey day!

Lil Things

It's the lil things in life that fill your heart with happiness. Lil Peanut decided to play with Papa's gloves last night and couldn't stop giggling! He's so darn cute!

A lil late but cute!

So I'm a little behind of going through the thousands of iPhone photos I take each month so here is a late post of Lil Peanuts Halloween at school. The kiddos all got to dress up in their costumes and have a costume parade, and then go trunk-or-treating (some parents at school decorated the trunks of their cars in the parking lot and passed out candy). Papa even stopped by to say hi!
